Childcare Mayfield
Purpose-built childcare centre in Mayfield that provides care and education for children aged zero to school age.
Welcome to Imagine Early Learning & Childcare Mayfield
Imagine Early Learning & Childcare Mayfield is part of a small network of family-owned and operated child care centres in Newcastle. Our Mayfield childcare centre is centrally located in the Steel River Estate and has easy access off Industrial Drive.
We have set the benchmark for high-quality early childhood education and child care for the past 26 years and sustainability is at the forefront of our minds when planning and decision-making. It continues to be embedded across the daycare service through our recycled loose parts play or our vegetable gardens. The outdoor space provides children opportunities for an active inquiry into their environment, connecting them to nature and becoming aware of their natural habitat.
Our educators develop meaningful relationships and connections between the children and Families, supporting the children’s individual needs and following their interests allowing them to develop at their own pace. You can tell everyone in the service loves what they do; it’s seen in the relationships with the families and children. The bonds are amazing!
If Mayfield is not your closest location, we have five other daycare centres in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie that are purpose-built and architecturally designed to optimise care and learning for children from birth through to school age. Our environments abound with natural elements, both inside and out.
The operating hours are 6.30 am – 5.45 pm, Monday to Friday.
At Imagine Early Learning and Childcare Mayfield, we believe childhood is about playing, discovering and believing in dreams.
Why Imagine Early Learning & Childcare Mayfield?
Our Child Care Centre has three distinct wings, each with specifically designed features to provide nurturing care and education for children in each age group: Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers. The setup of our learning spaces allows our educators to combine indoor and outdoor play opportunities regardless of weather conditions, to allow for adequate supervision of the spaces at all times and to ensure that the resources within each space are age-appropriate.
Each room is suffused with natural light by way of large windows, which imbue the centre with the added benefit of cross-ventilation. The natural light and ventilation provided align with the centre’s core philosophy of sustainability.
Imagine Mayfield is committed to providing excellence in care and education for young children. Our educational team is highly skilled and qualified in creating meaningful programs for children, including
designing aesthetic play spaces to explore and learn freely. Educators maintain quality relationships with children and families, ensuring positive learning and care outcomes during each child’s time at Imagine Early Learning. Educators are transparent in their communication with families to facilitate and further these mutually positive outcomes. They will always endeavour to share ideas, knowledge and resources relevant to your child.
Imagine Mayfield is a place where each child and their uniqueness is respected and celebrated. Learning and play experiences are planned to enable children to develop a range of skills and processes such as problem-solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating through a play-based program. At Imagine Early Learning & Childcare we make learning fun!

Testimonials
Beautiful daycare center. I have been sending my kids here for 4.5yrs and always found the educators to be supportive caring. They also prepare fantastic fresh meals on site which saves having to pack lunches and snacks everyday! Highly recommend.
From the beautiful director to awesome educators they all are so helpful, understanding and loving. They would go beyond to help you in catering your family needs. Highly Recommended !
Love the centre! My daughter has been coming for 2 days a week for the past two years. She has made some great friends and has a close bond with her educators.
Everything is fuss free, clean, organised, they supply food and have an app to show you some snap shots of your child during the day. It will be really sad to graduate at the end of the year!
We initially considered Imagine for the safe and secure building, affordability and extended trading hours. We know we made the right decision given the dedication of the Manager Annie to providing a supportive and loving environment for the parents and the children, that is structured around and responsive to our needs. We value the passion of the educators, their investment in our child, and the reassurance and understanding they have provided. Our daughter is thriving, she is clearly enjoying the opportunity to socialise and the experiences she has had that we could not have given her at home.
Such a wonderful centre for all children!!! Have had the absolutely best experience with both of my children attending long term until primary school ready, very supportive, caring, welcoming and nurturing!! Would recommend to all families, such a high standard of care and service delivery!!!!! Great centre, Great staff, Great school!!

At Imagine Early Learning & Childcare Mayfield, we cater for Babies (0-18 months) through to 5 years old.
DO YOU PROVIDE MEALS?
We provide morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea in line with the Good for Kids Good for Life foundation.
Children are encouraged to drink water from their water bottles throughout the day. The water bottles will be refilled with fresh water as needed. Please note that cordial or juice is not permitted in the water bottles. We also have bubblers for the children in the outdoor playground.
Mealtimes provide excellent opportunities for children to develop self-help skills. Staff sit with children at mealtimes to offer support and encouragement as children acquire self-help skills in feeding, serving, pouring etc.
Whilst children are encouraged to eat, no child is forced to eat against their will. If we are concerned about your child’s refusal to eat, we will discuss this with you to work out any possible strategies.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOUR STAFF HOLD?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SEND MY CHILD TO IMAGINE EARLY LEARNING & CHILDCARE MAYFIELD?
Fees are dependent on things like the number of days in care, the age of your child, and your eligibility for any government subsidies. We recommend that you contact the Centre Director who will be able to provide you with a quote.
HOW DO I ENROL AT IMAGINE EARLY LEARNING MAYFIELD?
In the first instance, you need to submit an online waitlist form. The Centre Director will contact you once a suitable position becomes available. They will invite you to visit the centre to meet the educators, view the environment, and ask any questions you may have. We want to ensure that you are comfortable with your decision. The Director will then provide you with an enrolment pack that contains everything you need to know about the centre, as well as enrolment forms. Once you return the completed forms, you can arrange further visits before your child’s start date. We want to ensure as smooth a transition as possible, so feel free to visit as many times as necessary. Even after your child starts, we will support you every step of the way.
WHAT GOVERNMENT REBATES AND BENEFITS ARE AVAILABLE TO FAMILIES?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a payment offered by the Australian Government for which you may be eligible. To find out if you are eligible for CSS visit Services Australia website.
Depending on your personal circumstances, there may also be other government funding available.
WHAT IS PRESCHOOL FEE RELIEF IN LONG DAY CARE?
Starting in 2023, the NSW Government is providing funds to provide fee relief to families with children attending a preschool in a Long Day Care setting. This funding will be for families as a weekly reduction to their gap fee (after the Child Subsidy has been applied). The Preschool Fee relief is for children turning 4 years on or before 1st July 2023. We welcome this initiative from the Government as it recognises Long Day Centres’ critical role in providing a preschool program.
