The newest service to the Imagine group, The Junction has been designed by award-winning architects in close consultation with early childhood professionals to ensure optimum learning environments for children from birth to school age. This includes the design of the outdoor play spaces which have been created to retain as many of the natural elements as possible within this inner-city service. Heritage features integrate seamlessly into the modern state-of-the-art aspects of the building, creating a beautiful ambiance which is both functional and homely.<\/p>\n
The centre is located close to highly sought-after public and private schools, allowing us to work closely with them to ensure a positive transition to school program for our preschoolers.<\/p>\n
Our centre operates 7 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. weekdays, providing childcare and education for babies (0-2 years), toddlers (2-3 years) and preschool aged children (3-5 years).<\/p>\n
Each room environment is specifically planned for each age group and includes areas to explore, create, rest and relax. Our spaces are beautifully designed with floor-to-ceiling windows which allow natural light into the rooms and wooden furniture to give the centre a comfortable homely feel.<\/p>\n
Imagine The Junction implements sustainable practices whereever possible. Our educators consistently involve children in recycling, worm gardens to compost our fruit and vegetable scraps and the use of recycled materials in our programs and practice. Our service promotes awareness of our impact on the environment and we are doing our best to promote water and energy efficiency (for example by using water saving taps and turning lights off when not needed during the day).<\/p>\n
Our educational team are caring, warm and passionate about the role they undertake in providing education and care for the children. They develop meaningful relationships with children and ensure that mutually trusting relationships with families are maintained.<\/p>\n
We employ a qualified chef on site who produces beautiful food that is both delicious and healthy.
\nThe Early Years Learning Framework places strong emphasis on the importance and value of daily outdoor experiences for children\u2019s learning and development. As a fundamental part of our programs, our team believe that children gain a lot from being able to explore their outdoor environment and therefore allow lots of loose parts as resources to promote imaginative and constructive play.<\/p>\n
